"Found a job"
Hot on the heels of the end up my undergrad, I have found (seemingly; hopefully) worthwhile employment. Community Organizer with a non-profit called ACORN Canada. Pays an ok salary, and a housing subsidy while training in Toronto. Job options in Ottawa, Vancouver or Toronto. Can't complain about it so far... only issue is lonnnnnnng hours. But hey, it's in my "field", so why not give it a try? Plus, I've been a professional bum/student forever, so I guess it's time to put in some real world work.

That said, anybody (JAY and MATT, I'm looking in your directions) know of people looking for roommates/sublets around central Toronto? Preferably with a basement for a drumset... Goddamn, I have a feeling that's going to be a tough sell.

it sucks that you and tara are jumping over to toronto, but at the same time you guys are lucky with a whole new world of opportunities and things to do, unlike here.

i actually ran into Amy Learmonth (sp?) a couple of weeks ago and they needed someone to rent the basement apt below them. I think it was for June but not sure. I also don't have her contact info. So basically i'm useless. Maybe Sara B would have her email?

when are you looking to start renting? i'll keep my eyes out for something

congrats coz! that sounds really awesome. i'm sad you guys are moving but at the same time it will be way more fun visiting toronto now. i got your email, you actually totally should have swung by after suzuki because we just ended up drinking on the deck for most of the night, and no ovaries were required. hope you found some other drinking buddies.

ACORN Canada? Sounds like a bunch of communists to me. You should join a for-profit group that represents the needs of high income Canadians ... like the Conservative party.

Congrats. Sounds like you'll be doing a job that actually has some meaning, which has to feel good.
