guy shot in miami
if you haven't heard about this, i imagine you will soon. a passenger was shot by a US marshall on a plane in Miami, after apparently uttering a bomb threat (his mental health was implicated in this "miami mayhem"). the war on terrorism has now explicitely become a civil war..... and it seems to me that most americans don't know, don't care, or support the spread of fascism, based on the supposed need to reinforce 'security'. yeah, i can see how shooting private, domestic citizens contributing to an already fucked-up airline economy will foster feelings of security -- especially related to air travel. i guess this is as good a piece of evidence as any proving life's absuridity.
live it up, butternut!

the south park on tonight was about a civil war in america because of the war in iraq & it was hilaaarious.

I'm sure the third world war will happen when we're alive, and this is only the start of it. nostradamus predicted it, i think shit will hit the ceiling fan when saddam is killed =[

Skytrain "officers" carry guns in vancouver now. we're slowing sliding down a slope and at the bottom is a lot of dead hoosiers.

i hate guns. i've been scared to watch the news the last few hours because of those hostages and how they've extended the deadline etc.. i'm seriously holding my breath.. i'm scared i'll turn the tv on and it will be the latest report about how they've been brutally murdered. since its been covered for so long, you've heard from them and all their families and friends, i mean one of them is from sault ste marie..so weird..close to home i guess

i wrote a paper that dealt with something sorta similar.. i think the crazy thing about the US is that they feel they are spreading democracy because of some sort of higher moral duty they have as the world's superpower..

it was crazy when they spoke to both martin and bush about the hostage situation. bush didn't even blink an eye and was like, well of course we don't give into threats or ultimatums or terrorism..and that was that. at least martin was a little more careful with his words for the sake of the hostages.. but so many people have died already i guess its obvious bush has no qualms about sacrificing lives.

"most americans don't know, don't care, or support the spread of fascism, based on the supposed need to reinforce 'security'."

well, I certainly hope it didn't take this incident alone to make you come to this conclusion!

and as an aside, what really makes life absurd is our expectations of it...

deep, man. and no, it certainly didn't take this incident alone.. though it helped reaffirm such feelings (as if they needed reaffirmation).
